That the devil is always in the details is something I strongly agree with.

It just makes me sad because journalism can be really fun, but why would anyone want to pursue it when it's like this?

Disagree. The problem is the extremists on both sides. They make each side look terrible to everyone else who does not just vote straight ticket in every election. Compromise is necessary because without it two groups with fundamentally opposite beliefs cannot coexist. The vilifying of each side, which is done solely through use of taking one situation and saying that it applies to every one on that side, is why it always comes down to swing voters.

Nope the left is done for a decade, The left has been running on a deep seeded psyop warfare, the "woke" cultural marxism planted by the USSR and CCP for decades has taken root and the whole of the left needs deprogramming. its literally delusion.

this is gonna be a decade of strong conservativism and pro america agenda.

What does any of this even mean? It just looks like a lot of buzz words.

I think the majority of both sides are "pro America". The problem is that that looks different to different people.

Both sides are not pro america at all. Both sides are run by corporate interests. We live in what is often called inverted totalitarianism. Its why so much of our tax money goes towards weapon manufacturing, drug companies, realestate holdings, the banks, and quite a few other sources all owned by the same corporations that all also own each other.

Blackrock/Vanguard/State Street/Tech Oligarchs/KJoch Brothers/etc...thats who makes policy and is the reason you are paid badly and so many are struggling.

Trump is not the cause, just a symptom of a sick "democracy" in which the public discourse only touches a few social issues but not the real reason for inequality which is failing social programs, lack of worker solidarity, low pay, high inflation. Not only that but the economy is constantly "growing" but not for you or me. hence the massively increase rich poor gap we see today.

I highly suggest reading some books by someone like Chris Hedges or Noam Chomsky about all of this. Its depressing but necessary.
