Heard it's good but I haven't read it. The writer, Garth Ennis, had a pretty gnarly Punisher run that I quite like.

And he's Irish I'm told too. What was the other big thing he did? I definitely remember reading about his making some splash, either with Batman or Sandman? Or was that something else?

Yes he's Northern Irish. Lol in his Punisher series he had an IRA storyline with an IRA terrorist who has to wear a clear plastic mask over his face cause all the skin was blown off or something.

And aside from Preacher his other big series is The Boys, so I assume he's rich now.

I'd like to raise awareness of this story from today:

Nothing inherently wrong with this appointment if this person is a better administrator and fundraiser than the other candidates for the post. You don't have to be a cancer patient or survivor to be a great fundraiser for cancer research and awareness.

But in the context of the debate on the broader issue of political demands, this doesn't sound like "we just want to be left alone" (a demand which no one but the most hardened religious fundamentalists and the mentally insane would have an issue with). It's more along the lines "I will strut my stuff in the women's locker room and there's nothing you can do to stop me"

Equalities minister Kemi Badenoch (a bird and a "top totty" I might add) made a strong statement describing "gender-affirming care" as a new form of conversion therapy.

Basically what happened is she was informing the parliament of an update to the list of countries whose gender recognition certificate will be recognised in the UK. Then the backbenchers turned the discussion to the underlying issues and she made her points very forcefully, I thought. Helen Joyce wrote she almost "wept with joy" watching her.

Then, a Scottish court upheld the British government's veto of gender recognition bill introduced in Scotland.
