Please help me figure this out. (great song, tune, quote, song)

I heard a song on the radio this morning and i do not know the name or who it is by. It went i'd go hungry i'd go blind for you it also said i would travel to the end of the world for you. It is sung by a man and it was a slow song. If you can please help just let me know i would like to know who it is by and the name of the song. Thanks for the help
