Post-Rock is rock with slower tempos and an emphasis on ambience and atmosphere, using the "wall of sound" aspect notable in shoegaze while taking influence from experimental rock, dream pop and ambient.
If you want recs, try Otta by Solstafir. It's got a very metallic sound.

Thanks, everyone, for all the recs.
So far I've listened to Takk..., (), and Valtari. I gotta say, Valtari is my favorite album thus far, but this is an early analysis and my opinions are subject to change after multiple listens. Also considering this music as a befitting background for reading science fiction/fantasy novels. Might enrich the experience for my seven year old |
