Enya Coincidence?
I just noticed that Enya's "The Humming" on her new album "Dark Sky Island" sounds quite similar to Tinariwen's "Imidiwan ahi Sigdim" (can be seen on youtube or spotify). Do you disagree? Yes, their voices are on opposite ends of the spectrum but the rhythm and melody are rather alike.

Not heard the new album but I love Tinariwen, and I love Enya, so in my blind ignorance I'm taking the similarity as a good thing.
But what's the new Enya album like anyway? Does it take you away? |

I'm playing it on youtube now. From the little I've heard, I like it. It's heartfelt. Reflective. A hint of sadness to the tracks. But it also makes me think of elves and faeries and strange worlds and that's what I want from Enya. Has that otherwordly vibe going on.

For cheapskates (like myself) who don't subscribe to any streaming services, the full album can be played here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOP_...y5RvDbeQmNBIFJ
