That's actually really awesome, but now I can't help but associate anything even vaguely folky with Germanic singing with racist black metal.

Well, those were a total eye-opener for me, Plankton. Thank you. I really had no idea that Black Sabbath recorded such delicate pieces! I enjoyed the three of them; Ozzy Osbourne obviously has a side I never knew existed, but then, when my friends were raging about Paranoid, I was a snooty kid clutching my Pentangle albums the way you hold a cross in front of a vampire.
( With the Rush song, tbh, I wasn`t sure if I was listening to something mock-medieval or to just a power ballad.) Talking of mock-medieval, I wonder if you`ve ever come across the Strawbs:-
