I'm not trying to sound sarcastic, but your title fits your choice of music. Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler really "aint" country.
In the traditional sense anyway.

Country music is currently one of the more popular genres. Not one of my personal favorites, but nevertheless. I do like a lot of the traditional country artists like Merle Haggard and so on, some contemporary country.

There is plenty of indy country that, although not anything I actively listen to, I respect. I'll give praise to any music that comes from the heart. But I loathe and detest the Nashville country music industry. It's like they have a goddamn checklist of buzzwords that must appear in every fecking song

And it has to conform to the whole country music culture. I know someone that hates all sports, EVERY sport (which is perfectly fine)...except of course NASCAR because she's a country music fan. This is one of her favorite damn country songs

OK, if you say so, but if you wanna say that, it works both ways, right? I mean if I'm not good enough for you country folks, you can kiss my Seattle Washington/Portland Oregon prog rock loving coffee drinking NHL watching ass, right?
