I must agree that Veedon Fleece is one of the best! Everything from 67-74 is awesome, but of course some are better than others...

Bulbs... You Don't Pull No Punches... Great stuff. The first time I made love to my wife we were listening to "I Wanna Comfort You". (TMI probably - sorry).

Hail to Van!

My old English teacher and I used to swap CDs with each other, and a few of the CDs were Van Morrison ones. Since then I've loved him, Tupelo Honey is my favourite album of his =]

Van To Deliver A Complete 'Astral Weeks' Concert

The Hollywood Bowl was where the complete "Pet Sounds" concept was birthed, making it a suitable home for Van Morison to revisit "Astral Weeks."

Morrison will perform "Astral Weeks," his 1968 solo album, at the Hollywood Bowl with a band featuring the musicians who appeared on the landmark album. Morrison used a rhythm section of jazz players on the album, among them the great bassist Richard Davis who's now 78.

This event, being held Nov. 7 and 8, is being recorded for an “Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl” DVD. Like Brian Wilson did with "Pet Sounds," it's likely a tour of the work will follow.

I've been listening to a lot of Van Morrison lately, i listened to his entire Still On Top Greatest Hits album, and it's amazing. I never really gave him a thorough listen, but now his voice has me star struck.
