Every two weeks the Folk And International Roots Album Club votes for an album that they will listen to and discuss in the coming weeks.
Anyone can vote in this poll, but if you vote, please follow through and be ready to discuss whichever album wins the poll.

Some beautiful folk from an improvisational guitarist and a female folk singer. This is a two disc album that contains the first two albums of this duo. While the songs were sourced from 13th century texts the actual melodies on these recordings were kind of educated guesses as there was little musical notation from the period.

I'm honestly not an expert but I like the classics by Mozart and Beethoven to be honest. Do you have any Piano players to recommend. I'm really interested in how they move their hands along the piano, its like an art form in itself. I will try to attend more classical concerts because that is my favourite way of experiencing classical music

^ Never thought of piano playing like that, but you´re right, it´s like a special form of ballet for the fingers !

Yeah, for me too; the only time I developed an enthusiasm for classical music was when a friend of mine worked on a local newspaper and we used to go to concerts on his complimentary tickets for a while. When he lost his job, I put classical music on the back-burner again.

So I don´t have any great recommendations, but you did inspire me to bump this thread, Vanilla:-

Doh! Missed the poll. Still I would have only muddied it further by adding Nascimento to make it a four-way tie. That album's been a real grower for me. The first few listens I found it a little under-whelming but every time I listen to it a different track emerges as a favourite.
