Vote for a FAIR club album before Nov 30
Every two weeks the Folk And International Roots Album Club votes for an album that they will listen to and discuss in the coming weeks.
Anyone can vote in this poll, but if you vote, please follow through and be ready to discuss whichever album wins the poll. Thanks once more to stp, and an album from Frownland with a very unusual origin, we have a total of seven albums to choose between in this poll, with Sir Richard Bishop fighting for survival. ( As more than half the nominations are from stp, he still has a special dispensation and is entitled to vote for one of his own albums if he wants.) Quote:

:) Now let`s get voting .... |
Didn`t take long to count the votes in this poll because there were only two of them !
Following the usual rules, Guitars From Agadaz Vol.2 by Group Bombino is the winner because it`s been in the polls longest, while Sir Richard Bishop is obliged to leave the building. He`s being escorted off the premises... thrown overboard... fed to the wolves ... pushed off the cliff, etc. As stp already has a thread for Guitars from Agadaz (vol. 1), it makes sense to just use that thread for any discussion of vol.2. Hope that`s ok by you, stp :- http://www.musicbanter.com/country-f...no-agadez.html |
Doh. Missed the voting deadline, sorry about that. That thread was actually kind of the studio version of Guitars of Agadez just called Agadez. Well, minus the band members who were executed. But might as well use the same thread.

Yeah, I wondered what happened to you, stp ! Thank you very much, btw, for nominating me in the end-of-year awards. That was a very nice surprise. I`ll be posting some nominations too when my work-load goes down a bit. In the meantime, I`m listening to these Agadez albums and catching up with Hamza El Din too...
