Default Dark Southern Gospel

Hey! So I'm in a band, and our sound lately has been moving in a direction that I call, for lack of a better term, 'dark southern gospel.' Trouble is, I don't really have much experience with this kind of music (we didn't really set out to write it, that's just what's been coming out lately, and we really like it). So does anyone have any suggestions of music I should listen to so I can familiarize myself with this genre a bit better? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
