Kvitka Cisyk was a Ukrainian American, died young. Her performance of older and folk songs was superb. Slight accent. Best soul ever.

This thread makes me think of The Ukrainians, a UK band of Ukrainian descent who played a mix of rock and traditional Ukrainian music. Pretty good stuff.

They are great, been loving them for years... saw them live. How about these covers (sung in Ukrainian)

yes :) you know their lyrics in Ukrainian have nothing to do with the originals. Especially patriotic lyrics in place of "shiny boots of leather" :) Very funny.
