I introduced Şebnem Ferah. But I'd like to share her a song. Because I very like it and that track mean everything to me. I'll try to translate its lyrics (as far as in me lain).

WHEN A HEART IS BROKEN

Shall we play a game?
Let everyone open their heart in this game.
Shall we play a game?
Let everyone say their names.

Each heart is a major world.
And all about life begins to destroy in that world when a heart is broken.

The seas dry and the land is offended in that world when a heart is broken.
And its (that world) balance end off in that world.

The journey begins from blue colour to blackness in somewhere when a heart is broken.

Shall we play a game all together like children?
Shall we play a game, but don't let us hurt each other?

Each heart is a unique world.
And it's a part of crystal at the same time.
Also If it's broken deliberately,
it doesn't deplore, it begins to disappear no longer.

(I hope I made a translate correctly. But If I have a fault you may warn me.
And I hope you'll love this song and its lyrics.)

Enjoy .

Thanks for translating the Sebnem Ferah song. I can´t say how close your tranlation is to the original, but I thought these lines were particularly poetic:-

I liked the sombre stumming guitar in the song, but my favourite of your recent posts is the Can Atilla one, with the great zither and violin.

Also, going back to an earlier post, I´ve just tried the Urgurlama song by Grup Yorum - very nice too.

@Lisnaholic, Thanks your good words

Şebnem Ferah writes just as a poet. Her songs lyrics are like poems. Thus I like her. I'll try to translate her other songs.

I'm glad you like Can Atilla and Grup Yorums Uğurlama.

I'll try to translate a song by Sebnem Ferah. Its name is Bugün (Today). I think she wrote this song for her dying sister Sadness story.

TODAY

I touched your photograph and kissed it once again today.

Time, slow down!
it's early to say goodbye to sunlight.

I miss your voice so much, so much...
I don't know about that the world stopped. Why?
I'm searching for missing with you (in other things)

This song is not about romance,
(I wrote it because) I just feel like.
If you hear me, smile for me.

Be my river, come and flow once again
Be butterfly, come and fly once again
Be my flower, come and bloom again
Be wind... (breathe a sigh)

I hope I properly translated it

I'd like to translate one more song by Şebnem Ferah. I hope I'll properly translate it.

PIECES OF HEART (CAN KIRIKLARI)

I'm alone at the back of beyond
Rather than feel all alone in this crowd.

You can have your colours that without dirt
Rather than afraid...

I'm all alone in within blur.

Maybe I know a secret thing,
Sure I cry, because i have pieces of heart (my heart is shattered).
You just see that (tears) run down through my cheek,
But there is a sea that i swim inside of it, inside of me.

If we're doing classics I have to add this, my favorite "classic" - "Uskudar'a Gideriken" - or,"On the Way to Uskudar" in English.

It's about my neighborhood, too. I really really love these old vintage sounds.

Magic!
