Here's a few I like
Salif Keita-- one of my favorite artists ever
Ismael Lo--you need to listen to "Tajabone" -beautiful Miriam Makeba--I like her more traditional songs Amampondo- recommend listening to State of Emergency Cesaria Ivoire-her voice is hauntingly beautiful Angelique Kidjoe--like her earlier music better than more recent works there's lots of others I could list but for those of you who haven't heard the above artists you need to take a listen |
