Default The Waterboys

This is from '06 but its killer. If it doesn't move you, you're in the wrong forum.

Edit: Incorrect time. No idea where I got '88 from.

Are they an Aussie band? Someone threw this album at me yesterday on Spotify and I loved it.

They're from Ireland and Great Britain. Is this really the first time you've heard them? They've been around since the early 80s. Good band though, at least based on the few songs I've heard, and Mike Scott's solo stuff is good too—Bring 'em All In is a terrific album.

First time I've heard them. I move around quickly, so its easy for me to miss big bands even in genres I enjoy.

Spotify is amazing though. If you have it (and FB) let me know. I take a lot of suggestions from friends on there, and i throw things at people I think they'll like. Same goes for anyone else too.

The singer is Scottish, he's got a pretty distinguishable voice.

There a band that have been forever on the radio where I'm from and I can't complain, their song Whole of the Moon is one of my all-time favourites.
Just an incredible song.

I really was a fan on the 80's. A Girl Called Johnny was a standard in france.

My favorite albums are their traditional Irish/Scottish albums such as Room To Roam and Fishermans Blues. But I tell you what, their latest album Book Of Lightning is so great, more rock inspired.

One of my favorite Waterboys songs <3

And I love this one from Book Of Lightning.
