Glenn Jones & Matthew Azevedo - Waterworks (2017)

Waterworks

Quote:
On new live album Waterworks, digital and acoustic experimentation bring sparkling new depths to Glenn Jones’ emotive guitar virtuoso. Waterworks was recorded binaurally at the Waterworks Museum in Boston, MA on June 24, 2015 through 20 speakers. Glenn Jones plays guitar and banjo and is joined by Matthew Azevedo on synthesizer, harmonium, soundscapes, and signal processing.

^ You are only one click away from a compilation album of really cool jazzy pop from the 'seventies. I'm liking it so much that for the first time I've clicked "subscribe" to the YouTube poster's channel: Radio Africa.

^ I just downloaded that from YouTube, based on your recommendation. I'll give it a proper listen later, when I have the time.

And as long as I'm here, here's a live street performance from Cuba...

^ That's a nice video clip, and I really like the guitar bit at about 3 mins in.

^ That's nice to know, Psy-Fi. Thanks. I'm confident that you'll enjoy it when you give it a listen.

I love it!
I also checked out a few other compilations from this label (Analog Africa) and they seem very promising on first listen. Will report back on those.

^ Great to have a serious music detective on the case ! I'll be interested to hear your reports - especially about any material that has more of Africa and less of Cuba in the mix. I think that would be my one complaint about Senegal 70.
