Listened today. The way he attacks the guitar reminds me Jesus the Carpenter.

Here's a song by The Spy From Cairo that pulls you in two directions at the same time; an odd balance between the mournful and the cheerful:-

Nevertheless, for now yet another track goes on my head of freak folk band DVA from Czech Republic, performing all tracks in artificial language that shows, as they used to say, "the folklore of non-existing nations".

Thanks, Sir_Cactoos. How are you? Are you in lockdown where you live?
Yes, some purists don't like that blend of traditional folk with electronica; for me though, the problem is not outrage at mixing genres, but the fact that there is just so much of it. In the end it can get boring. ^ I liked this track, and the fun video. "The folklore of non-existing nations" reminded me of course of Dead Can Dance, who I'm sure you have heard of.

Greetings, Lisnaholic!
Yes, we have some sort o lockdown and it is actually forbidden to go anywhere but stores, pharmacies and workplace. I do my work remotely from home, so it is not a big deal to me. How about You, are you save? Oh yes, DCD is well known for me and I always enjoy listening to their records. Under current circumstances, it is even more than welcome. ![]()
