Discovered this group by accident on Spotify (I just thought their name was funny ). They are from Malmö (city in Southern Sweden) and have a nice sound I think.

^ Yes, that's a good name, Lilja, and a nice track too; light and "wordy" - I'll have to play it again to catch all those lyrics!

^ That's interesting! Especially the second video which shows scenes of modern Bamako. That's a name I recognise after reading about The Super Rail Band and Les Ambassadores du Motel. Another surprise was to see Amadou Bagayoko as a spokesperson for "balani show."

Here is a recent single he made with his partner, Mariam:-

Just Letov and his guitar (also some weird tape manipulation), being as raw and intense as the full band was. Also wonderfully misanthropic lyrics, but I guess that's just for me to enjoy.

^ Yes, this sounds great! I especially love the accompaniment; spare but strange, soothing but not soporific. Not entirely sure if I can listen to that high-pitched voice for long periods of time, but I'm prepared to admit that that is my failing, not hers.
