^ Nice.
Sadistic dentistry end of folk? Well put. Yeah, Wailin' Jennys are pretty good. I've posted a few tracks by one of the members - Ruth Moody - before. Here they are singing another classic, old folk song. Although this one's prettty slow too: Wailin' Jennys - Bold Riley Ruth Moody - Life is Long (live) Ruth Moody (live) |
Doubt many others will enjoy these but I've a thing for cheesy Bollywood songs. If you catch a taxi, bus or rickshaw in India, chances are Bollywood songs are blaring out the speakers which are usually busted and rattly and have hardly any bass but way too much treble, and yet somehow they still sound good. haha.

Yes, that Ruth Moody is quite a beauty!

Talking of dentistry and the rough end of folk made me think of poor old Shane MacGowan; the Pogues were really popular for a while, but are hardly ever mentioned here:- |

I enjoy it, personally... The more darbouka, the better!! :D |
^ That was pretty deep. I can't provide any intellectual discourse I'm afraid. I only know I like the music. :)
@ Lisnaholic, love The Pogues and their unpretentious, rough n ready sound. Truly a great band. The Pogues - Dirty Old Town The Pogues/The Dubliners - Irish Rover |
