I'm not necessarily a bluegrass fan but my mother is--- she has been a fiddle player in several bands we have a local venue that has bluegrass jams once a month and she always attends them.

I know she is a big fan of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and Ralph Stanley. She likes Alison Krauss but she leans toward the old timey bluegrass musicians more. She likes the Osborne Brothers too.

I love a lot of melancholy bluegrass bands. To me its country music in it's purest form, before it became a bloated corporate genre for rural America.

Red Molly - Caleb Meyer

The SteelDrivers (popular act)

Crooked Still - Little Sadie

Great song. Never been a big fan of Van Morrison but I just might have to track down that album.

Great song. Van Morrison is pretty good. Another one is Gryphon. They sound very authentic with their medieval Celtic folk.

Two renditions of a timeless song. Each different. Both beautiful.
