It's not easy to translate czech lyrics of Radůza but if you want, tell me, I will do it for you.
If you have some time and don't mind too terribly, I would enjoy seeing a translation of one of Radůza's songs, whichever you like the most, Petula. Right now listening to her music is like looking at a lovely treasure chest to which I lack the key. I'd like to see inside but can't and so am left admiring the surface.

Mmm...lovely use of modern-sounding violin and cello composition to create a mood of nostalgia and tragedy. Did her husband in the song die? My, the woman has a very childlike voice! What language is she singing? I see the video was filmed in Russia, but I assume she is singing in Japanese?

I tried to find out more Akira Yamaoka, but so far have only learned that he is from Japan and composes very popular video game music. I assume this song is part of a video game soundtrack score for "Silent Hill," Scissorman?

@Vegangelica - OK, I will translate my two favourite songs of Radůza for you or for people in this thread. I'm sorry, I didn't find some time yet, I am still busy this month. But I will do it as soon as possible.

I am in violoncello mood, I got some metal cello bands but it doesn't fit here.
Now I am digging german instrumental band Neun Welten.
It's neofolk, instrumental music with melancholic mood and my favourite instruments - acoustic guitars, violin, cello, recorder flute.

This is probably their best track...

Some other tracks has calmer mood...

They have two albums - Vergessene Pfade (2006) and Destrunken (2009).

Not only for us, Petula. You can do it for the whole World, as I do, for example, here (yes, I'm the same cat).

Those were both lovely tracks, Petula! I especially liked the acoustic guitar in the second. I wish Neun Welten also included German lyrics, since I like German especially.

No rush on the translations...don't feel any pressure! If/when you have some spare time to translate, that would be nice...but only if doing so works well with your schedule.

This is a good idea, Zaqarbal, and a nice way for people who *can* translate to help those of us who don't know the language of a song to enjoy it! That cat is cute.

That's nice web page. Could you show to us this spanish song?

I know spanish music is great and people likes it but I don't know so much international fans of czech music.

I am not so good in english. It's not easy for me to translate czech lyrics because czech language has often double-meaning and I am not able to express it in english. But I will try to do my best.

Vegangelica, as I remember very well, Neun Welten have only about 3 songs with lyrics, all other are only instrumental.

It's by Nena Daconte. I put it here, in the Spanish-language music thread.

Anyway, there always will be someone interested in it. And a little consulted translation is better than nothing. The website I mentioned is full of amateur translators from all over the world. Just people who like music, like us, who make a voluntary (large or little) contribution by writing lyrics translations.

Don't worry, I 'm not good in English either, but I use on-line dictionaries. When I have doubts, I type English expressions and sentences in Google, to find out the most correct or common one. And anyway, you can ask for help. There is a forum for amateur lyrics-translators worldwide, and it has a Czech, Slovak and Slovene section.
