One thing I love about Johnny Cash is that he could be very funny, and he could be incredibly serious. (That's just one of many things I love about his music.)
My favorite Cash song is "One Piece At A Time," I just find it so funny, and you know what? I could see people doing that. Plus, it's the song that opened my mind up to classic country. |

Yeah....Hurt is good one for sure but as far as songs that he wrote....Cocaine Blues is probably the best in my opinion.
Oh....how could I forget Long Black Veil??? Many people didn't know how to respond to it at first because it's written from a dead guy's perspective. If you dig this song and haven't heard the Dave Matthews version, I suggest you check it out. It's incredibly moving and amazing :-) |
