Banjo-based folk?
Hi there.
I'm looking for any folk with a mix of banjo, acoustic guitar, and harmonica.. and anything else with said instruments. I'm new to this site and this forum seems to be my favorite thus far.. I see a lot of people with good tastes in music! Thank you, -Matthew |

William Elliott Whitmore is a great place to start out, he does everything you've mentioned, here's a few video clips of him playing to see if it works with you:
If any of it strikes your fancy I've got one or two of his albums uploaded and can shoot you a link. |

Well I know Pattsy Watchorn from The Dubliners accompany his songs with a banjo...but that's about it, sorry. |
The Be Good Tanyas
banjos, mandalins, guitars, ukuleles (well maybe not ukuleles), I grew up listening to these girls, they are incredile. 'It's Not Happening' is one of my all time favourite songs!!! Jon Allen covers guitar and harmonica, not noticed a banjo as of yet, but i'd recommend a listen |
