What is up with this category?
 

Country... Folk... World Music... Shouldn't each of these have their own category? Or does no one listen to folk tunes anymore? Come on Country fans! Let's revolt and get our own category!

Folk and country encompass borrowing techniques and styles from traditional music of his/her country. "World music" means the same thing, but from a different country/culture than the listener.
So while Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Sigur Ros may not sound similar, they belong in the same forum.

Hope that clears things up for ya. =)

Neither of the styles generate enough interest to warrant their own forums here, as they'd be a bit of a ghost town. Sad but true.
