Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter
Rykarda Parasol
The Builders & The Butchers (1st album)
Iron & Wine (Woman King EP)
The Be Good Tanyas (hit & miss)
William Elliott Whitmore (first two albums)
Hyacinth House
Two Step Slumber
Jeff Zetner (of Creech Holler)
Reverend Glasseye
Slim Cessna's Auto Club
Munly
Viarosa
Neko Case (sometimes she's dark)
Antic Clay (formally of Myssouri)

The ones that I bolded are people that I have and have uploaded at some point or another. Good to see someone restoring life to this thread, lord knows I was getting tired of being the only one to breathe life into it. I didn't know Jeff Zetner had a solo album, but I do have The Shovel and the Gun by Creech Holler. Good list though that's for sure, just wondering if you've heard any of these guys:

Strawfoot
Elliott BROOD
Sons of Perdition
Curtis Eller's American Circus
.357 String Band
Angry Johnny & the Killbillies
Cuff the Duke
Steve Von Till
Hank Ray
The Handsome Family
The Interpestuals
Jim White
Lonesome Wyatt & the Holy Spooks
Those Poor Bastards

I've put almost all of these guys up in my mediafire account as well as scattered examples throughout this thread.

The ones in bold I either have or have remnants of. I didn't mention some of these, like Jim White, O'Death or TPB because I noticed them on here as I scrolled through.

Jeff Zetner has two albums actually. Not too shabby either. I have that Creech Holler album and I think they might have a newer one or one coming. I can't remember.

I was on a Gothic Americana thread at LiveJournal and it died a slow painful death so I was thrilled when I stumbled across this. I also subscribed to your blog. I've been considering starting one myself but I am a musician first, which means I'm a bit flakey.

I would love to start sharing. I have some stuff uploaded to MF as well but not alot for lack on interest from others.

I appreciate you subscribing to my blog, but I haven't made an update in like.... 2 months now. Mostly it's out of pure laziness, something I've been meaning to overcome. If anything I'll probably start up a new one, but I'll be sure to give you link when I do.

Hi! Nice to see people have returned. I've been over at the blog too - welcome back. Some new names mentioned for me to check out, thanks.
I just saw a video of Hatchet Man by Federation X at a blog called Shaking Street. [Federation X - American Folk Horror (2001)] and thought that they were interesting.
Do you guys also like the "Deep Blues Festival" stuff like Left Lane Cruiser, High Plains Drifters, RL Burnside, etc.?

Here's a new band I found the other night who are from my old stomping grounds of Vancouver

Headwater

Not quite as dark as some of the other bands I've posted in this thread but they've managed to strike a nice balance between the dark and the light. Found one of their albums cheap on a website and their newest album from rapidshare, then found out that they're playing a free show next Friday

I listened to a little bit of Those Poor Bastards. I'm definitely going to check out more when I get off of work, I really dig the sound.

I'll see what I can do about digging up a link, their 2008 album Satan Is Watching is my favourite of their discography.

Just joined this forum 5 minutes ago after googling "gothic country"...

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned the group Palodine. Damn awesome stuff. I'm too new here to post an URL but they're on myspace and youtube.

I don't do music-sharing, sorry.
