i only like her work for the NPs. her solo stuff frankly just bores the crap out of me. i LOVE her voice though, when she's singing rock.

Calexico is a better backing outfit than the Funk Brothers. If they do for her what they did for Iron & Wine I'll be excited beyond recognition.

She reminds me of Emmylou Harris (painfully obvious comparison I know, but I'm not overly-familiar with country), which is a good thing of course. Love her voice too - I'll be looking forward to the new album

Neko is great, with or without The New Pornos (though there is definitely something extra special when she's singing one of A.C. Newman's songs).

Also check out Eleni Mandell's new album "Artificial Fire" if you enjoy Neko Case. It's not exactly the same, but it's very enjoyable.

I'm listening to "Middle Cyclone" right now and I'm really digging it. That's pretty much all I can say right now since I'm only 5 songs in, but the reason why I decided to get it was because Kurt Heasley (from Lilys) plays guitar and has some backing vocals in the album.

you should check out all of it,.....really the stuff with the new pornographers and stuff with the boyfriends,...all of it,....it all has its place, and her voice,...well,...if you've listened to it you know what i mean,...but middle cyclone hit me at a very good place and i latched hold of it very hard when it first came out

Listening to Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. Hadn't heard her before but heard a track of hers on True Blood that impressed me so thought I'd check her out. All good so far.

Came across this one again. Hadn't heard it since 2010 at best. What a great track.
