 Jake the Peg is a novelty song, sung by an Aussie who has lived in England for most of his life. I see you're in Tasmania so I'll let you off, but know that it is not a 'country' song in the accepted sense of the word. Now if you'd said Slim Dusty instead.

I'm gonna have to drop a mention in the way of Loretta Lynn's Coal Miner's Daughter here, and by mention I do of course mean video;
^ Classic country's virtually unparralelled for me as the genre that tells the best stories, and this here's one of the best examples of why that is. |
