Klezmer Music
Klezmer music can be brilliant at times and is always fun. Not everyone's taste but there are a lot of acts currently around that are still keeping the type of flavour alive and kicking.
Anybody want to post any particular favourites of theirs?

Thanks for the link. That is sensational. After discovering Beirut early this year, a bit late admittedly, I have been finding myself more and more interested in this East European style folk. It is such a vital and vibrant style of music. I have been getting into a band called A Hawk And A Hacksaw and I am convinced that they are very much influenced by styles such as Klezmer.

That's me, too!
Actually, mine began with Gloria Estefan, continued to include Shakira, and branched out into Arabian music. Now, i'm getting interested in ALL of the folk type music. Truly, some of it is SO fun!!! Down here, we have LOTS of Polkas ~ both the Spanish variety AND the Polish/German variety, and they're great music, too. Thanx for the link ~ i just went to youtube and did Klezmer Music and a bunch of stuff came up, so i got to listen to more than just one band. |
