Italian-American Singers??
I am looking for italian-american female singers of today. I have a short list of singers that include Madonna, Connie Francis, Stacie Orrico, Alicia Keys, Jo Dee Messina, and Rosemary Clooney. Are there any younger musicians that claim their heritage?? I need to find an italian-american song to compete with by the 22nd (either in italian, has some italian words, or originally performed by an italian/italian-american), and I would really prefer something adult-contemporary that a little newer than the ones that I have been finding. So far the best options are:
1."Where The Boys Are"- by Connie Francis 2."Mambo Italiano"-by Rosemary Clooney 3."Because You Love Me"-by Jo Dee Messina 4."Strong Enough"-by Stacie Orrico 5."If I A'int Got You"-by Alicia Keys 6."Secret"-by Madonna Does anyone know who some young italian-american female artists are?? Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the list I have?? |

Not contemporary, but as far as female Italian/American singers go, this woman is the beginning and the end.
A voice dripping with soul guaranteed to bring a grown man to his knees. Morrissey's favourite female singer... |
