Deer Tick
I'm addicted to his first album War Elephant. I think everyone should check it out. Can't post a link, but he's got a myspace. My favorite song is Baltimore Blues No. 1, but most of the songs on there are a close second. Go nao!!!

Yes! I just found out about these guys and I really like them!
The lead singer's voice sounds kind of like The Tallest Man on Earth. Then they have instrumentation and everything and it sounds great. Check out these two songs: Ashamed YouTube - deer tick -- ashamed Easy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTMz23U67UQ |

Someone else has talked about Deer Tick on MB, so that for me they are in that category, "Bands I should check out but haven't yet." Well, here's step #1: listening to a clip of Baltimore Blues live:- ^ Sounds pretty good! Even though the vocalist is pretty young, he's already got that been-to-Hell-and-back voice which helps makes this kind of song convincing. If you didn't quite catch the words, take a listen to this version, from their album, War Elephant:-
