Default Bajo Fundo Tango Club

Now officially known as 'Bajofundo'. they are primarily a collective from Argentina and Uruguay. The music is is a modern form of Tango and Electronic influences that takes in Ambient, Trip-Hop and Jazz.

The aim of the band is to put traditional Tango music back on the map and present an image of Tango that is far removed from the cliched view that we have been spoonfed over the years.

While not particulary groundbreaking, the sound of Tango and Ambient is not a disarming experience and fans of both World and Trip Hop would no doubt enjoy the band.

Does'nt anyone just want to enjoy the soul of music and be impressed by musical prowess as well as the ambience and disregard the fact that it is not the name on everyone's lips?

A seriously good band gone begging again.

Hmm I couldn't dig that video/song it seemed like a commercial.
But I did like 'perfume' by them. Real romantic with a beat.

Does this happen to come from the technobrega movement in Brazil? Just curious...

No they are not from Brazil and they use genuine Tango arrangements instead of using pop music as technobrega seems to.

Just discovered this band about thirty minutes ago. They are rocking my socks off. I have Mar Dulce. Any other recommended albums? I know they released one a week or so ago but I can't find it anywhere.

This band = the shit.
