Singer/songwriter similar to Nick Drake, Elliott Smith that sort of thing. I have the End of History I like it alot. Abacus is my favorite.

Eh, he's seeming kinda boring to me, his voice can be a bit monotone at times. His lyrics are okay, but not that great.

Bump for my recently acquired Fionn Regan obsession.
Seriously I was surprised there hasn't been more conversation about him, I was completely taken by him after my first listen and he's put out two albums since this thread was made.

Anyway, I was going to post some of my own recommendations but Ethan pretty much covered the bases. I'll do the next best thing and post the videos because I really urge everyone to check him out.










These are all from his first album which is definitely his strongest work. That's not to say his new albums are bad... The End of History is just a better starting place imho. If you're interested he's not hard to find around the internet but if you need links you know where to find me.

So this guy deserves a thread here. One of my favourite singer-songwriters of the last decade. All the way from Wicklow in Ireland, I have had the pleasure of attending several of his gigs whenever he pops over to the other end of the country! Have a listen. His music is surprisingly beautiful and delicate and yet sinfully underrated.

Nice album, thanks. Just listened to it. I like some fragility in my folk so I agree it was a nice starter.

So I thought I would post some of his new stuff. He has been ridiculously prolific over the last year or two.
