I love illinoise but I can't quite get into seven swans. Plus the whole Christianity bull**** puts me off, I like greetings from michigan and a sun. To sum up 3 enjoyable albums 1 not so enjoyable kinda circle jerks religion.

Michigan is my favorite of his. I really hope he continues on this 50 states projects thing, he'll never finish it though.

Michigan was an overall good album, some tracks bored me. 7/10 for me.

Illinois is an amazing record and let nobody deny it. Full of all sorts of musical brilliance. I'm not even a fan of Stevens, but listening to this album for the first time, it is truly startling.

I don't like this putting Stevens down under folk. Folk suggests "dude sits down with acoustic guitar and sings". Nah. Stevens is indie/alternative. The use of instrumentation is quintessentially indie. The musical soundscapes are more along the lines of baroque pop or the likes.
