I kinda have a thing for Emmylou...

I'm a huge country fan, though I never listen to country radio. Not that all popular country is bad - it just isn't what usually draws me in. I love Laura Cantrell, Jimmy LaFave, Elizabeth Cook, Neko, Hank Williams, The Louvin Brothers, Wilie Nelson, Lucinda... there are too many to list. Right now I'm listening to Eilen Jewell.

There's a lot of variety in country music (bluegrass and country-pop don't sound much alike, for example). Writing off all country as sounding the same is pretty ignorant. Your loss.
