Why do you like Country? (singer, hardcore, metal, pop)

I like a lot of the traditional country artist like Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams Jr. and a number of other artist as well.

A few of the more recent country artist I like include Zac Brown, Billy Currington, Jason Aldean..

But there is a recent style of country that I just cant relate to at all.
Country Rap..and it just sounds "awful" to me personally.
