1. Lonesome Wyatt. He's all over the place, but Those Poor Bastards is my favorite of his stuff.
2. The Pine Box Boys 3. Strawfoot 4. The .357 String Band 5. Hank III/Hasil Adkins Sturgill Simpson is a new one I've recently found, and his album is fantastic. Also gotta give an honorable mention to Split Lip Rayfield, they might be more bluegrass. Edit: Forgot about Scott H. Biram, really love his songs
