- Philippe Katerine is a french artist who deals with humour in his cheesy electro-pop. It's quite fun when you know french.
- Izia, the daughter of Jacques Higelin, performs straight ahead rock music, with lyrics in english.
- one of my favourite french musicians is Alain Bashung (RIP), his album 'L'Imprudence' is a masterpiece of darkness and poetry.
