I could be interested - Depending on what kind of Bands/Songs you have...My collection seems to have dwindled slightly since the theft of my New CD case.

adidasss 07-02-2006 06:12 PM

Hiu you really should make a playlist. You're recommendations are always interesting if not damn good.

hiu 07-02-2006 11:11 PM

I'll upload a Flying Nun Compilation cd called Pink Flying Saucers Over the Southern Alps once I rip it from cd, it's probably not as good as a starter and i'll follow that up with a playlist of some of my Nun favourites later, along with some of the more well known classics and maybe a few rarer songs.

Pink Flying Saucers Over the Southern Alps

The Chills - Heavenly Pop Hit
Tall Dwarfs - Sign The Dotted Line
J.P.S Experience - Shadows
Able Tasmans - Hold Me 1
The Clean - Drawing To A Whole
Verlaines - The Funniest Thing
The Bats - It's A Lie
David Kilgour - Uplift
Chris Knox - Meat
Straitjacket Fits - Bad Note For A Heart
3Ds - Sing-Song
Headless Chickens - Railway Surfing
Bailter Space - Fish Eye
S.P.U.D - Go Ape
Skeptics - Sheen of Gold

I have to say we had quite a briliant lot of indie-pop bands.

_Spinning_ 07-02-2006 11:31 PM

I downloaded that stuff you linked to the other day.
A lot of it is classic New Zealand roots.

Put together by an American as well.

Recommended to others.

one_more_atrocity 07-03-2006 05:09 PM

when i bought a rock sound mag like last year there was some kiwi rock cd with it and to be fair i just assumed it'd be crap but i gave it a listen and it was awesome, some of the bands on there have become my favorite bands, and fair enough some where piss poor, but most were awesome. :)

adidasss 07-11-2006 12:42 AM

i forgot to comment , that compilation you made spinning, was terrible....a lot of poppy shit on there...i was expecting more alternative music....sorry...

_Spinning_ 07-11-2006 12:47 AM

Meh, fair enough.
Thanks for the Feedback though.

I guess it really depends on what you like.

adidasss 07-11-2006 12:57 AM

_Spinning_ 07-11-2006 01:02 AM

^^ That's some good stuff...a lot of it is Poppy...but Idie-Pop...

adidasss 07-11-2006 01:04 AM

yeah, i preffer indie pop to comercial pop....you also added a lot of r'n'b ( didn't know they made that down under ) and some electro...so i was a bit...wtf??

_Spinning_ 07-11-2006 01:06 AM

Lol. I just went through my Music folder and put in whatever I came across...I do have a lot more, but the file was big enough.

hiu 08-29-2006 02:20 AM

Compilation of the first two EPs from the 3Ds, Fish Tales and Swarthy Songs For Swabs. Anyone interested in Flying Nun music from back in the day check this out. Probably a top three Nun band for me.
