You can't say that as if it's an established fact. You mean the UK has your favourite indie and folk artists. Mine too.

The UK produces a proportionally insanely high amount of the English world's musicians without a doubt. Consider music history and multiply the amount of great British bands by about 5 to make the population comparison to the USA...

Rolling Stones , The Animals, The Moody Blues ,Queen,
David Bowie, Kate Bush ,The Cure , Cocteau Twins ,
Massive Attack ,Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Muse ..etc
