Default Help me out, will ya?

Theres alot of issue I have with the music universe in general but I won't rant, ill attempt to keep it on topic. My problem is this, I think folk is the greatest kind of music because it seems human and therefore important (when I say folk, I mean roots) but for a majority of folk (as in stricktly folk, not roots) is that its so drab and boring as if it was upbeat and mildly fun it would be taken less seriously.

I've said it before, but where are the CCR inspired acts? Anyone have anything for me to check out? Anyone wanna prove me wrong?
