Beirut is amazing. I had The Flying Club Cup on constant play when I first got it. And the videos for each of the album's songs (on his website) are really great. My favourite song would have to be his cover of Le Moribond though, off the Elephant Gun EP. Zach Condon speaking in French...

Zack Condon
I have all of the confidence in the world to say that Zack Condon, just a kid from New Mexico, has all of the tools to become a musician that perhaps could "withstand the test of time" so to speak.
I remember the very first song I ever heard. It was "Mt. Wroclai" and my first impression was quite the jaw-dropper. His vocal capabilities are unparalleled not to mention the multi-instrumental side bar. This is the best band in the world, bar none and it is only going to get better from here on out. Keep a look out. |

I second that motion. Sunset Rubdown's albums are both really good. Spencer Krug can do no wrong in my opinion, although he is quite abstract (see Wolf Parade, Frog Eyes, Swan Lake)
Beirut's latest The Flying Club Cup is beautiful, but I've liked everything I've heard from them.
