Yep, that's probably why.
And it's annoying me that if it's not their usual party-rap, they just label it as "WEIRD AND UNINTERESTING" without even trying to listen.

Right.

Even Zappa makes Dylan seem pretty damn normal.

On the subject of... well... the actual subject of this thread, I think you'll be happy to know I've gotten my hands on a few Dylan albums in the past week or two and am giving them some serious listens. As you suggested before, I'm considering doing some kind of thread similar to my Beatles one. Maybe not strictly Dylan, but a variety of artists from that time period including him.
