I'd actually say Bringing It All Back Home is a great place to start. A mixture of upbeat tracks, deep songs with a lovely feel and great lyrics. I really got into Dylan through this album. It's a fantastic intro, portrays Dylan's abillities quite well from here on.

What are your favorite bands? Bob would definitely be boring for someone who likes heavy metal or electronic music, or any really fast and upbeat music. I personally get tired of that kind of music fairly fast, I usually prefer the slower, more relaxed songs.
