Slow Train Coming was alright. I was expecting something less enjoyable, but I could listen to that again. |

Ya, slow train coming isnt bad.
I havent ever really thought about a top 5. I'd have to go with: New morning Blonde on blonde Blood on the tracks Highway 61 The freewheelin (maybe) In no order. It's just so hard to put a Dylan top 5 together. |

Wow, New Morning in your top five? I like it but it hasn't grown on me THAT much. "If Dogs Run Free" always seems so strange to me that I have to stop whenever I hear it. Fits with a lot of the album I suppose, though. "Day of the Locusts", "Went to See the Gypsy" and "New Morning" have all treated me well so far.
My favorites so far are Another Side of Bob Dylan, Bringing It All Back Home, Nashville Skyline, and Highway 61 Revisted. But I'm only comfortably familiar with everything up to Blood on the Tracks (not including it) and sort of familiar with Desire. |

I love new morning. "sign on the window" is one of my favorite Dylan songs. The piano playing is beautiful, It really showcases how well he can play. "time passes slowly" is another one of my favorites. Nearly every song on that album is great.
"Another side" might be in my top 5, at one point it definitely was. "desire" is definitely up there too. "planet waves" Is my dark horse album. Very underrated in my opinion. Long time no see, salami. Last edited by blastingas10; 05-28-2012 at 08:22 AM. |

It really is a great album. It's his first and only studio album with the full lineup of The Band. "dirge" is a really great song. It's something to hear, great rhythm piano from Bob and some really great acoustic guitar playing from Robbie Robertson. It's definitely very "dirgey"

I forgot about John Wesley Harding in my list of favorites. I think it'd be up there...but maybe it'd be Freewheelin'. This is rather difficult.
I rarely get through all of Desire before I take it off, although I enjoy 'Hurricane' and 'Isis' a lot. 'Joey' has been rough on me. Last edited by Chives; 05-28-2012 at 11:32 AM. |

Desire might be in my top 5. "Hurricane" is great, of course. "oh sister" is an amazing song. "black diamond bay" and "Isis" are really good. And who could forget "one more cup of coffee", and "Sarah".
Oh ya, I think desire is probably in my top 5, taking the freewheelins place. |
