The Mountain Goats
I'm just wondering if there are any big Mountain Goats fans out there. I love their new album "The Sunset Tree", and was always a big Neutral Milk Hotel fan, any opinions on how the two bands differ and which you like bettter and why? Personally I enjoy the usage of horns that is prevelant in Neutral Milk Hotels musci and the music seems a little more adolecent to me which is a quality I like.

I've never heard Neutral Milk Hotel but have heard a lot about them.
I do like the Mountain Goats. We Shall All Be Healed is my favorite of what I've heard so far. The Sunset Tree is pretty good as well.

Isn't the MG's folk, and isn't it one guy?
I've heard "anti-music song" which is ****ing awesome, I feel that song was written in the voice of MB, bitching about copy cat loser musicians and I've heard some song with the refrain "there a monkey in the basement" and that song was mighty good.

I love John Darnielle. Nine Black Poppies and Tallahasee are my favorite albums. I think people on the indie board would like this sort of stuff, go check it out people.
