Martha Argerich is a controversial musician for some, frequently accused of taking liberties with Bach and others. My view is Bach survives intact from a large range of approaches as do other great composers. I’ve often been puzzled to find her live performances frequently better than her studio recordings.
Thanks for posting that, it’s one I hadn’t stumbled across before. |

If you enjoy a particular performance that’s no skin off my back. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. I’m only describing how that performance affects me.
