Default New to Classical music

Hi, I am new to classical music but have already found some pieces that I think are great. Beethoven’s Ninth symphony is in my opinion is greatest piece of music ever written. Perhaps followed by Beethoven’s Fifth. I am looking for other music that I might also enjoy that is along the same lines as the Ninth and Fifth. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you in advance.

Sure!

You will likely enjoy any of the early Classical composers: Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach, etc. You really cannot go wrong with any of them if you're a fan of Beethoven.

Also keep in mind the fact that the goodness of a particular piece may be determined by who is performing it - I agree wholeheartedly with you that the Ninth is brilliant, but I've also heard phenomonally dull recordings of it. In other words, when you first hear a new piece, don't dismiss it with the first recording of it that you hear - just find another copy of it that does it more justice.
