Only 7 people are woke. It's a damn shame.

Wouldn't a poll this skewed towards yes mean that you're wrong as ****? You know, once you consider what the word relevant means?

I went to a music festival with a lot of modern classical acts and it was hoppin no lie. Edumacate yourself deej.

I don't really understand the question. Relevant how? Are you asking if people like it? If it's still selling tickets? If it's artistically relevant in some abstract, philosophical sense? Culturally relevant - whatever that means?

I didn't vote, but it seems obvious to me that it is still loved by many despite not winning any popularity contests against music videos with twerking and bad singing.

If Mozart had as juicy of an ass as Nicki Minaj, I might be a little more into him.

Yeah, see the thread title and the OP are in opposition. Go look at the OP. I know what the word relevant means but the poll is supposed to be based off of the OP.

Go look at the first post and you will see what she meant. She was talking specifically about popularity comparable to say the top 40. Why isn't classical music popping in the top 40 playlists or charting on billboard? Is it only relevant as a means of teaching music students or just genre aficionados that already love classical music as referred to Mr. Clownland up there about going to a Classical Music Fest recently.

Did you really go to a classical music festival or were you just joking?

Totally serious. There were hundreds of people there.

Carlsbad Music Festival

It's about 50% classical, 30% jazz, and 20% other (mostly multicultural music). The Isaura Quartet put on one of the best performances I've ever seen.

How is it not? Anyone who listens to pop, rock, hip-hop, Jazz, and some electronic music understand that classical is fused with these and many other genre's very often. Not all appreciate the hard work that goes into a live orchestra recording, mostly do to a lack of understanding; but anyone who is into MUSIC, and doesn't listen simply for self gratification loves to relax, or feeds off the energy of good classical numbers.
