What got me is that he was able to draw a cello at the age of 2, having never seen or heard of one in his life, and also being able to name it "cello"... Then going and playing one how it's supposed to be played.

Either something is wrong with that picture, or he's god.
(Or his parents are blowing things out of proportion)

Yeah that part made no sense. He has the innate ability to know what a cello is.

That's pretty much when I turned the video off. The kid obviously has talent, for all we know, but I get jaded when I see something very obvious like that used as a representative of someone's talent, then I'm expected to not think the report hasn't been pumped up further than it actually is.

Could have easily got it from the 'Computer Crashing' factoid. Then again, remember, this is popcorn TV. So, they're going to portray things exaggeratedly.

Thing is, this may be a publicity stunt of just some random kid with a high amount of interest in music who lucks out, gets attention from a major music conservatory, and is milked immediately to spark attention. Perhaps even pieces of his work are fixed up, or doctored. Not impossible. I mean, the world of traditional music has been clawing at the edge of oblivion since Elvis's gyrations.

However, For the dim chance there is truth to this, it's really amazing that somebody is getting an opportunity to express himself creatively this early in life, with all the resources at his hands to develop into something amazing. I'm just fearing the pressure might make this kid cave.

As for his work now. Listening to it, and it's not bad. I'm not blown out of my seat, but it's definitely better than something I could see myself doing.

Just for the potential, I'm taking the benefit of the doubt.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God
