Noob
Ok, so in my opinion, I'm a classical music Noob. I don't know much about it, and haven't had much experience in it (save for some college classes that required it). I don't know if the type of music I'm listening for is classical or not, but I wanted to try and share with others and see if they can help. I posted another thread in the general discussion area for a song called Opening. It is the first track on Linkin Park's Reanimation Album, and the response I got wasn't very good (no offense, but Ennio didn't quite do it for me). In this song, it seems like a violin is the main focus with strings in the background, and a light piano playing along as well, ending with the piano. It's only a minute and 8 seconds, but this is the kind of music I'm trying to find. It's very light, very mellow, it doesn't have the dramatic up's and down's of what I consider to be contemporary classical music. It works well for me when I'm at work. Other music kind of distracts me with the banging and the singing, but this is very smooth and flowing, if you catch my meaning. If someone could check out the song, you can listen to it online (I use playlist.com and pandora to find it) and tell me if you know of any other type of music that meets this kind of criteria. Smooth, mellow, not very dramatic, involving some violin and string action with maybe some piano or something else that's soft like that thrown in. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

You've already got a thread asking this question.
